Testing Brainstorm, Identification of Experimental Variables, Tests Setup
In this section of our project, we need to test our experiment. Even though we didn't have it built yet, we needed to test the parts that we could do, even if it was partial. At the end of our experiment, we compiled a lab report which I have attached below.
Detailed Technical Digital Drawings (Buildable Blueprints)
In this section of our project, we were tasked with drafting 3D blueprints of our container design, as well as an "IKEA" style instruction manual of how to create our product. Below I have attached our IKEA manual and screenshots of our 3D container model.
Reflection
This part of the project was especially hard, because we have had to change our product just about every few weeks. We needed to perfect our experiment and write instructions on it, and I would say we are still playing around with our idea. We have expanded it to water bubble with glucosamine supplements in them for dogs, as well as an energy drink inside and/or propel. We have constructed our experiment so that it can accommodate these changes, and we will still need to do a final test run again to work out all of the kinks. We don't really expect to be finished with the final product until presentation night, honestly! It also didn't help that the company, Oohoo, that also makes this bubble, JUST released an energy drink option as well as sauce packets and other new things. I guess we should have gotten a patent! This stalled us a bit, because we had to figure out if we wanted to think of a completely new idea, or keep going with the idea they've already done. We have decided to make multiple types of bubble, and we will decide later if we will eliminate other options to focus on the best one, or if we will display all three at presentation night. We will keep you posted!
The IKEA part of the project went by fairly easily. Caitlin and I split up the work really well and got it done on time. Having the IKEA intructions also really helped the design process go easier. The only thing I would change about this part in the process would have been to do this earlier because knowing what we know now after simplifying the project into these instructions would have really helped us earlier in the process.
