Secretary of the Future Project
What was it: In this project, we had to create a policy change in Novato. Then, we had to go into detail about what we were changing, how it helped the environment, and what it would look like in 50 years+. Our site also had to be the size of a football field, or larger.
What we chose: We decided on the hill next to the old Firemen's Fund.
What we did: We created a trail with picnic tables and compost bathrooms.
If you look below you can see our presentation and our documents.

Reflection
This overall was a really fun project. I learned a lot about the environment around us, and was able to find a way to improve it. The best part for me was predicting the future because it required a lot of imagination, but also logic. I reasoned that not much would change in 50 years, but much would change in 1,000! I think my group could have done better in the aspect of staying on task. It was difficult because we were all friends, so we would talk a lot. At the end of the day though, we were able to pull through and create a great project that really reflected our concerns and hopes about our environment.
